We produce pure, raw honey at our family farm in Linden, North Carolina. Our 22 -acre farm is dotted with fruit trees, nut trees, wildflowers, and clover for our honeybees to collect pollen from, and our farm is nestled far off the main road, tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Our children noticed it looks like our honeybees have their own secret garden, so we named our honey business Secret Garden Bees®.
Our honey is special, not only because of the location, but also because we raise and care for our bees using organic practices as much as we possibly can. We hand harvest all the honey from our 30 hives, hand package and bottle it, and store it in a climate-controlled environment, so it retains its natural goodness. We also never over-filter our honey, so every jar includes all the enzymes and pollen you want in your raw honey.
We produce two main types of honey: light honey and dark honey. The lighter honey we produce is harvested in the spring, and we refer to it as clover honey because overall, it is the sweeter type. The dark honey is our wildflower honey, and it usually has more robust flavor and pollen in it.
